Process Engineer, Cell Assembly

Tesla is looking for a passionate and driven Process Engineer to help us scale the future of cell manufacturing. As a core member of our team, you will help us build cutting-edge production lines for the next generation of Tesla batteries. • Use advanced data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, JMP, Tableau) to make predictive insights, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive actionable recommendations
• Work closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, and New Product Introduction teams to bring new products from prototype to full-scale production
• Lead and drive continuous process improvement initiatives that directly impact production efficiency, yield, capacity, and safety
• Spearhead the integration of automated systems, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous feedback loops
• You will be responsible for process documentation and ensuring it is kept current like Manufacturing Instructions, OCAPs, PFME and Control Plans
• Use of Tesla systems (PCA, JIRA, 8D) to document, gain approval and validate process changes as well as drive root cause corrective actions
• Own the process setup and troubleshooting of the Tesla ION manufacturing execution system

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting (process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, flow optimization are a plus)
• A passion for problem-solving, working in high-pressure environments, and driving innovation
• Expertise in high-volume automated manufacturing environments and data-driven decision-making
• Deep domain understanding of process design, manufacturability, assembly methods, and cost reduction techniques
