Offal Picking Room Attendant - Plant 2 (Days)

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

• Prior to start-up, turn on all quick disconnects for the unloading conveyors, DTMs, bird unloaders, MATs, tumblers, and finishing chillers. Ensure all equipment is on, functioning, and notify management and maintenance in the event the one of the above are not operational.
• After birds enter the rocker chillers, wait 20 - 25 minutes and then turn on unloaders to begin transferring the birds to the main chillers.
• Monitor operation of total chilling system, water level, and product flow throughout the shift, start/stop the rocker chiller unloaders during evisceration breaks and lunch to give 2nd processing their breaks and lunches. Communicate packaging management on the location of the
• Breaks in the main chillers.
• When the last bird enters the rocker chiller at the end of the production open up the chiller drains in order to drain and empty the rocker chillers of all chickens.

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to communicate effectively on a radio in English.
• Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8-10 hrs.) on a concrete/metal grate floor.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• Must be able to use high pressure hose or squeegee.
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs and ship's ladders.
• Must be able to change and reattach air hoses and wheel casters
• Must be able to work weekends
• General cleaning and / or assisting other departments, if required and maintain safety, housekeeping, sanitation, and GMP requirements.
• Must be able to use the required tools to do the job.
• Must be able to assist and / or perform moisture checks when necessary.
