Role: Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, facilitates the development, implementation and maintenance of internal and external Compliance Management Program and performance of the primary duties and responsibilities listed below. While implementing or recommending action to ensure compliance and minimize risk, the Compliance Analyst should be conscious of streamlining efforts, cost effectiveness, safety and soundness, and proper maintenance of the internal control structure. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Undertake other work-related duties as assigned by the Compliance Officer. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve With Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Education: BA/BS in related field preferred. The America's Credit Unions Certified Credit Union Compliance Officer Certification or equivalent required within 1 year from hire date. Experience: BA/BS in related field. Compliance certification required. Other Skills BSA experience. Excellent analytical ability and ability to conduct thorough research, interpret and understand laws and regulations, and provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems. Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, credit union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services and the laws and regulations which apply to credit unions. Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented self-starter, able to work independently. Ability to handle simultaneously, multiple tasks and changing priorities in an efficient and effective manner. The ability to work with all levels of management and credit union staff, and members.
