JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Facility Contract Manager, the Facility Contract Supervisor is responsible for supervising Facility Contract Coordinators, Representatives, and Billing Assistants. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, the effective daily operation of the team, employee coaching, and enforcing all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Supervisor is responsible for interfacing with GMR operations and customers as the main point of contact. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Main Duties Ensure all contract terms, fee schedules, and billing rules are set-up in the billing system based on the parameters provided in the contract factsheet and associated documents. Train contract team in accordance with departmental SOPs. Perform audits on invoices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. Delegate tasks to Coordinators, Representatives, and Billing Assistants as necessary. Follow all company and department specific SOPs. Develop new and update existing SOPs as business needs change. Monitor all workbins and correspondence to ensure every transport is worked timely per department SOPs. Generate, review, and distribute all necessary reports to Operations, staff, and management as requested. Host and participate in conference calls as assigned. Serve as the primary point of contact for GMR operations and management. Confirm with Operations and management on timing of collection activity for delinquent accounts prior to sending to a collection agency. Process employee timecards and paid time off (PTO) requests. Participate in the process to hire, promote and terminate employees. Date/Revision No Proactively coach, provide feedback, and corrective action to employees. Maintain accurate records and files related to invoices, billing, follow-up, and reporting. Assist in special facility AR projects. Attend all client meetings prepared, and able to present data and answer questions. Manage and track all work, information, and documents in company provided software. Build relationships with internal and external customers. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Adhere to and comply with information systems security. Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures, attend Information Systems security training, and report information systems security problems if identified. QUALIFICATIONS Education High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree or technical certification in medical billing, finance, or healthcare preferred. Experience/Skills Minimum of one year experience in medical billing and/or supervising employees preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, hospice, DRG's, PPS, insurance and/or contract billing preferred. Knowledge of medical transportation or healthcare billing preferred. Prior accounts receivable experience preferred. Abilities: Individual must have strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to perform duties within tight time constraints while handling large volumes of work. Ability to learn quickly and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met. General understanding of ambulance billing and all service levels. Working knowledge of all CMS DRG/PPS guidelines. Working knowledge of contracts and comprehension of contract terms, rates, billing address, timely filing terms, etc. Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Office applications. Maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
