If you are passionate about security, thrive in open-source environments, and are eager to tackle complex challenges, this role offers unparalleled growth and the chance to leave a lasting mark on critical technological advancements. **About the Role** We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable engineer to contribute to our mission of enhancing security hardware and intellectual property. In this role, you will be instrumental in independently developing, testing, and troubleshooting security-related hardware and software across both Windows and Linux environments within a leading cloud infrastructure. This position offers a unique blend of independent project work, technical collaboration, and design reviews, requiring strong debugging skills and the flexibility to navigate evolving priorities. You will be at the heart of projects deployed in one of the largest cloud service providers, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to foundational security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



  • Independently develop, test, and troubleshoot security-related hardware and software solutions.
  • Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
  • Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs.
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
  • Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans.
  • Code new programs to client's specifications and create test data for testing.
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews for software solutions.
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.
  • Actively participate in technical collaboration, design, and test reviews.
  • Document results and maintain comprehensive project records.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of overall experience in the field.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Extensive experience in large systems software design and development.
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
  • Proven experience in programming, problem diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with test experience in data center/server hardware.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience with development experience in C++ (and Python).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with an understanding of CI/CD and pipelines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to switch between projects as needed.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications



  • Experience with Rust programming language.
  • Prior experience contributing to open-source projects.
