Responsible for leading and implementing product design initiatives from the Embedded Software/Firmware discipline in a fast paced, innovation-centric environment. This also includes, providing system analysis of customer applications and root cause analysis of product and customer system issues. Job Requirements:

The successful candidate must be proficient in a majority of the following items: * Embedded Software Design using C, C++, RISC, Assembly languages, et.al. * Communications Design Including: o 802.11 Ethernet up to 10GE o G.703 T1, T3 o Fiber Channel up to 10 x FC o SPI, I2C, RS-232/422 * Digital Circuit Design and timing Analysis * Embedded Controller Hardware and Software Design, Verilog HDL, Simulation, Synthesis, and Implementation * Software Configuration Management and Documentation * FPGA/CPLD Design and Tools * Prototype Circuit Debugging and Diagnostic GUI Development * Electrical Circuit Failure Analysis and Basic Test Equipment Usage * Optical Electronics Familiarity (Laser Drivers/Receivers) Must be organized with the ability to follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data so that answers can be obtained and appropriate action can be determined. Good interpersonal and communicative skills, both written and verbal; have the ability to interact positively with fellow employees and supervisors. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision. EDUCATION and/or Experience: BSEE/BSCS and 2-8 Years of work experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: To successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job, the employee must be able to perform advanced mathematical functions. LANGUAGE SKILLS: In order to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to read and comprehend detailed information, correspondence, and memorandums. Must have the ability to communicate in writing and verbally. REASONING ABILITY: The employee must have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in relationship to the work environment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS: None.
