Description

LF Driscoll, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking a Vice President of Life Sciences construction in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The Vice President of Life Sciences Construction is responsible for working with the Business Development Team and regional leadership to develop key relationships with clients, champion key procurements and lead teams to deliver timely completion, high quality, and profitable projects. This role is key to supporting the training and performance of all personnel involved on the projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, guide and lead growing New Construction building sector that has a strong emphasis in the Life Sciences segment of the market.
  • Develop goals and objectives for Life Sciences Construction sector and submit these to the Regional Vice President. Create work plans to accomplish goals and objectives, including reviewing project budgets, capital budgets, division operating budgets, and the development and maintenance of new and existing clients, etc.
  • Participate in the development of Business Plans.
  • Plan, organize, train and direct work of subordinates to assure timely completion of projects at expected quality and cost/profit levels. Assure subordinates fulfill position requirements, including compliance with company policies/ procedures.
  • Provide feedback to Regional Vice President on progress of specific projects, as well as progress towards achieving divisional goals and objectives.
  • Take active part in overall participative company management process to assure company's continued growth/ profitability. Participate in and contribute to the development of analysis and implementation of projects' policies/ procedures.
  • Participate in the development of new work. Review new project information from various sources to determine new work possibilities. Follow up on leads for new work.
  • Serve as liaison to architects, designers, engineers, and owners of each assigned project to assure positive company profile and possibility of future new work.
  • Establish goodwill with all subcontractors and suppliers via professional attitude and positive company image.
  • Recommend allocation of bonus distribution to assigned personnel based on approved company policies and procedures.
  • Remain informed on all project activity to monitor project schedule and notify Regional Vice President of any delays which would significantly impact the project completion date or project profitability.
  • Facilitate meeting of department heads.
  • Coordinate work of project team members to establish priorities and evaluate performance of team members. Coordinate work assignments to provide developmental experiences. Monitor and coordinate ongoing training of all personnel.
  • Receive and manage special assignments and requests from Regional Vice President.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Science or other related field.
  • 20 years' experience serving at the project management level with responsibility for simultaneous multiple projects.
  • Expert in Ground Up Life Sciences Construction
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
