Helio Health is seeking a Counselor I- Criminal Justice Liaison for the Forensic ACT program, who in addition to performing routine team duties, has lead responsibility for navigating the criminal justice system, advocating on behalf of FACT individuals, and providing education and skill building. The Criminal Justice Liaison is the supporting liaison with key criminal justice system stakeholders and conducts in-reach to people who are incarcerated, including following initial referral, to gather data concerning the individual's criminal history. The Criminal Justice Liaison will spearhead jail release planning to provide immediate support for the transition back to the community. The Criminal Justice Liaison is expected to be familiar with county-specific ATI programs.

Pay Range: $24.00-$27.88 per hour.

Responsibilities

    Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
  • Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
  • Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.


Qualifications

  • Associates degree required/bachelor's degree preferred.

  • One year employment experience in the Human Services field.

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements.

  • Qualified Health Professional preferred.

  • Must demonstrate steady progress towards Qualified Health Professional status if not currently Q.H.P.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
    • Helio Health's insurance carrier requires that employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.
