Position Overview


Primary Purpose of the Position
Advancing the college's research mission, fostering faculty scholarship, and steering the college toward successful AACSB accreditation.

Work with faculty to generate intellectual contributions to ensure faculty can be classified as Academically Qualified under AACSB standards. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate classes in an academic area of the College of Business & Entrepreneurship.

Monday - Friday 8 am- 5 pm
Department Required Skills

  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Distinguished record of scholarly achievement and intellectual contributions suitable for appointment at the rank of Full Professor.
  • Experience with AACSB accreditation standards and processes.
  • Proven ability to mentor faculty in producing peer-reviewed publications, books, and successful grant proposals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a collegial, inclusive, and supportive research environment.


Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
10 or more years of demonstrated success in quality publications and collaboration to publish with other faculty members.

Research Leadership & AACSB Alignment

  • Provide strategic direction to enhance the college's research productivity and scholarly impact.
  • Monitor and evaluate faculty research output to ensure compliance with AACSB standards for scholarly contributions.
  • Maintain accurate records of intellectual contributions and prepare research-related documentation for AACSB accreditation reviews.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess research outcomes and faculty performance.
  • Maintain a publication record that demonstrates excellence and exceeds minimum requirements to be considered AQ

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary and cross-college research collaborations.

Strategic Planning & Administration
Serve as Chair of the CBE Research & Qualifications Committee.

  • Implement the research components of the college's strategic plan.
  • Advocate for resources, infrastructure, and budgetary support to sustain research excellence.
  • Represent the college on university-wide research committees and external research networks.
  • Assist the Associate Dean, and Department Chairs in monitoring Faculty Record Sheets and Faculty Workload Reports for research productivity

Grant-Seeking & External Funding

  • Support faculty in identifying funding opportunities and developing competitive grant proposals.
  • Partner with the Office of Research and Innovation and university advancement teams to maximize external funding success.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Associate Provost for Research and Innovation to align college efforts with university-wide initiatives.
