SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (CAPEX)

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer (CapEX Focus) is an advanced role that provides technical expertise for designing, implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment for complex manufacturing /assembly operations in one or more facilities. Supports the manufacturing and assembly of new and existing Parker products. Leads in developing and implementing more advanced manufacturing techniques, testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety. Is also responsible for developing and deploying large capital projects in one or more facilities.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Process Flow - Analyzes and deploys advanced manufacturing process designs to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products for entire production facility and/or multiple facilities. Identifies equipment and tooling needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.
  • Process Improvement - Identifies and leads process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost. Leads teams in large scope process improvement initiatives.
  • Engineering Design Support - Partners closely with engineering leadership regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Ensures highly complex processes and procedures comply with regulations for entire facility and/or multiple solution lines. Apply frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Remediation - Identifies issues and leads teams that investigate issues for corrective action to ensure product quality, and to resolve quality issues.
  • Management of extensive capital project - leadership experience spanning capital equipment procurement (specification development, supplier evaluation, RFQ/RFP support, vendor selection, FAT/SAT), project management (charter, scope, schedule, risk, cost control), CapEx justification (NPV/ROI/payback aligned to strategy), and equipment/line installation, commissioning, and validation with minimal operational disruption.

Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Year of experience: 8-10 years of engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience with CapEx (Capital Expenditure).
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply complex concepts of engineering.
  • Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving of sophisticated to highly difficult scope and complexity.
  • Proven track record in scoping, justifying, and implementing capital equipment/projects across an entire facility and/or multiple sites.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve existing procedures or develop new procedures to solve problems while ensuring solutions are safe, sustainable, capable, and cost-effective.
  • Ability to absorb and apply new technical information and evaluate implication.
  • Ability to effectively communicate difficult concepts and explain a range of complex technical information.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Overnight long-distance travel may be required, based on the individual needs of the position.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $111,450 to $195,150 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
