Senior System Specification Engineer

Nokia of America Corporation, Senior System Specification Engineer (Multiple Positions), Bellevue, WA.

• Perform requirements gathering, feature analysis and specification for 4G and 5G Self Organizing Networks (SON) functionality of the Telecom Radio Networks domain.

• Create Proof of Concept SW in Python based on open APIs and SDK offered by Nokia's MantaRay SON product for quick solution creation and evaluation at customer networks.

• Work with Radio networks and understand the Nokia MantaRay SON product architecture and APIs and also SW design experience.

• Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of network, and server resources and systems.

• Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.

• Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.

• Interwork with experts from the US Telecom operators to gather operator specific needs and design solutions for the same.

• Support for customer deployments of new features in the SON space and also participating in customer site validation or piloting of such features.

• Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.

• Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience (of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience). Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience with the following:

• Telecom Radio Networks domain for 4G and 5G;

• Network optimization and SON use cases and techniques;

• Radio Networks domain across all generations;

• 3GPP standards;

• SW design and development exposure; and,

• Python.

Domestic travel up to 10% required.

International travel up to 5% required.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Bellevue, WA may be permitted up to 60%.
