JOB SUMMARY

A Shipping/Receiving Associate at Doble Engineering will manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and shipment of products, including Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) items and customer orders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, familiarity with inventory management systems, ability to coordinate and collaborate with team members. This role will be based in our Ontario, California office and will report to the Order Fulfillment & Shipping Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

RMA Processing



  • Receive incoming RMA products for repair and accurately record receipts in Microsoft Business Central.
  • Store RMA items in designated locations based on repair urgency.
  • Prepare and ship repaired RMA units, ensuring all items are accounted for and safely packed.
  • Accurately record RMA shipments in Microsoft Business Central.
  • Generate shipping labels and arrange for timely shipments.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with the RMA Specialist


Order Fulfillment



  • Pull, weigh, assemble and pack customer orders based on packing lists.
  • Ensure all items are properly labeled and prepared for shipment.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with the Order Fulfillment Lead


Receiving and Inventory Management



  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies.
  • Deliver received materials to the Stock Room Clerk to verify shipments against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of all received and shipped goods.
  • General Warehouse Duties
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping tools and processes, including generating labels and scheduling shipments.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. This position will coordinate with the Stock Room Clerk, Order Fulfillment Lead, and RMA specialist and report to the Facility Manager.
  • Ability to climb ladders as needed.
  • Ability to multitask and pivot quickly between different tasks.
  • Strong time and priority management skills.
  • Ability to document and follow detailed instructions.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • 2 Years of previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations, preferably in a non-barcode based shipping environment.
  • Knowledge of packing techniques for fragile or high-value items.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows 10/11
  • Ability to use PC for data entry, timesheets, email, etc.
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Familiar with domestic and overseas courier services
  • Proficient in shipping and receiving practices and terminology
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to mathematically differentiate/compare freight costs among various carriers
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and lift trucks
  • Ability to operate machinery such as foam packing machine


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Hourly Pay Range Minimum $20.25 - Midpoint $25.32
