IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Security Specialist - Cloud Architect for a 12+ month contract position located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage infrastructure solutions for Cloud infrastructure utilizing both on-premise (private) and off-premise (public) infrastructure
• Partner with the internal Architecture team to define design patterns to meet Active/Active resiliency
• Define and solution for data ingress and egress, including hybrid options
• Develop deployment solutions for CI/CD (primarily CD)
• Design for multiple regions and availability zones, including storage and network integration
• Partner with internal teams to set up appropriate access groups and restrictions
• Ensure all regulatory and compliance measures are met
• Monitor and assist with performance tuning
• Partner with Engineering, developers, and stakeholders to align strategies to the modernization of the stack

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in designing and engineering solutions for large business capabilities
• Expert experience and knowledge in the design and engineering of applications hosted at external cloud providers such as Azure and AWS
• Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
• Ability to lead and actively participate in conference calls with technical and business users
• Flexible to work in different shifts, including rotational night shifts and weekend support
• Experience in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) automation tools and integration using one or more of the following: Ansible, Jenkins, or XLR
• Working knowledge and expertise with JIRA and NEXUS
• Exposure and familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile)
• Must be self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and able to work with little supervision
• Willing and able to work in a 24/7 environment, including after-hours and weekend support for multiple time zones
• Computer networking skills and working knowledge of load balancers, firewalls, etc.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology or equivalent education
• Understanding and experience with web application communication protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, XML, etc.
• Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration

Desired skills:

• Expertise in Payment and Merchant Services capabilities
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certification
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Multiple years of demonstrated experience in Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
• 2+ years in a technical position using Cloud technologies
• Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL databases
• Linux (RHEL, CentOS) experience
• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and Linux
• Hands-on experience with Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging tools, and build/release processes

Pay range: $65.90 - $73.90 per hour
