Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

NOTE: This is a 4-6 months assignment.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Process Engineering, the Engineer, Process will work under the direction of the Process Engineering Superintendent to accomplish plant objectives in the priority areas Safety, Environmental, Quality, Reliability, Production, Efficiency, Cost Reduction, and Innovation. The successful candidate for this role demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, effectively engaging with both company and contract employees. They possess the ability to mentor junior engineers while fostering cross-functional collaboration and are adept at conflict resolution to promote teamwork. Highly organized and capable of prioritizing multiple projects, they adapt quickly to changing needs and maintain a goal-oriented, self motivated approach, working independently when required. With a steadfast commitment to safety, integrity and operational excellence, they bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure successful outcomes.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in process engineering, mentoring and reviewing work from junior engineers as needed.

Participate in our lead Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs). What-if analyses, and other safety/process reviews, supportng the Process Safety Management (PSM) Management of Change (MOC) process.

Contribute to Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and incident investigations, complete assignment action items on schedule.

Provide accurate, thorough desing input and review for projects, ensuring close coordinaton with area personnel.

Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for production, reliability, efficiency, and cost imporvments.

Research and apply industry technology advancments and lessons learned from Nutrien and other industry facilities.

Serve as project engineer for capital projects, coordinating myltidisciplinary design teams to ensure quality and accuracy.

Ensure poper loading of vessels during catalyst, desiccant, packing and gauze changes.

Minimum 5 years engineering experience in the chemical process industry

Experience in Ammonia and Nitrogen-based fertilizer operations highly desirable.

Proficiency with HYSYS and other process modeling software.

Ability to analyze financial and cost data to develop sound conclusions and recommendations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with engineering software tools.

Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred: Engineering software and tools, HYSYS

Bachelor's degree in Chemical engineering.
