Position Summary: MannKind Corporation is seeking a motivated and seasoned Ambulatory Specialty Manager to support FUROSCIX commercial growth within targeted Key Account Hospitals/IDNs and office-based cardiology practices employed by the target hospitals/IDNs. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, South Central, this person will be responsible for executing territory-specific account plans, managing day-to-day engagement with institutional stakeholders, driving discharge workflows / protocols related to transitions of care ensuring tactical alignment with broader regional and national access strategies, driving sales in outpatient cardiology practices, participating in ongoing business development.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Director.
Institutional Responsibilities:
- Identify growth opportunities, negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales process for key accounts to impact length of stay and 30-day readmissions.
- Manage key accounts, building and maintaining long-term relationships with clinical, administrative, and pharmacy decision-makers to support access and demand generation and drive sustained adoption.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key account needs, partnering with care teams, prescribers, and EMR stakeholders to support inclusion of FUROSCIX in treatment protocols, care pathways, and formularies.
- Develop and execute tactical account plans aligned with regional strategy and business objectives, and maintain accurate, current account profiles.
- Collaborate with Sales, Market Access, Trade, Field Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Patient Support to address account needs and drive FUROSCIX adoption.
- Develop and execute pull-through strategies with internal and field partners to ensure patients can access FUROSCIX after formulary approval.
- Provide field insights to the Regional Sales Director and cross-functional partners on access barriers, emerging opportunities, and competitor activity; analyze relevant data to refine account plans and optimize performance.
Cardiology Outpatient Practice Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed established sales targets, with full accountability for territory performance.
- Drive appropriate utilization of approved products across assigned accounts, engaging key stakeholders including Heart Failure (HF) specialists, cardiology, nephrology, emergency medicine, nurse practitioners, HF clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Execute marketing and sales initiatives to achieve business objectives within assigned accounts.
- Manage territory resources and expenses within established budgets to achieve objectives.
- Conduct speaker programs within the territory, where permitted.
- Use sales reports to assess territory potential and identify key HF stakeholders.
- Complete administrative responsibilities efficiently, including compliance requirements, expense reporting, Veeva CRM call reporting, and other assignments by established deadlines.
- Provide input to MannKind functions that support ongoing sales and market development.
- Track progress against objectives, deliver results, and model leadership across the region and organization.
Required Expertise Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus.
- 5-8 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, with at least 2-3 years in an institutional or account-based role.
- Proven track record engaging with IDNs, AMCs, or large specialty group practices.
- Strong understanding of formulary processes, care delivery models, and account-based selling strategies.
- Experience in collaborating across Sales, Access, Medical, and Marketing teams.
- Knowledge of the cardiorenal space preferred.
- Field-based role with regular in-person customer engagements.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as business dictates.
- Attend and represent Mannkind at local, regional, national conferences, trade show and community events.
- Willingness to travel within assigned geography (50%-75%).
- Demonstrated track record of high achievement as demonstrated in top 30% ranking 2 of last 5 years.
- Experience with product launch. Experience in Medicare population is a plus.
- Experience working with a HUB and specialty pharmacies.
- Experience in Medicare population with coverage determination facilitation OR extensive prior authorization experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as prior utilization of CRM systems.
- Achieve and maintain a satisfactory driving record rating in compliance with the Company's Motor Vehicle Driving Record Policy.

Pay Range: $124,000 - $186,000 per year |
