A Day In The Life The Systems Analyst II under the direction of the IT Team is a Hands-on role that supports and provides solutions that contribute to the success of daily business operations. The Systems Analyst is responsible for participating in deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining OEM Software and associated infrastructure including servers, printers, wireless infrastructure, RF scanners, and any associated components. The Systems Analyst II will collaborate with business and development teams to gather and document requirements for new and existing software implementations as well as function as the local technical resource assisting and performing application, server, and database maintenance, systems and data analysis as well as creating systems data/reports. This position will also be required to perform some small project management duties, demonstrate an ability follow guidance and standards, meet commitments aligned with organizational goals, and be able to understand business processes.
As a Systems Analyst II you will:
- Assist in deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting core business applications including application and database servers and associated hardware or endpoints. This includes supporting wireless and Network infrastructure.
- Responsible for installing and configuring software on client PC's as required for systems access.
- Responsible for performing system maintenance, monitoring system activity, gather system statistics, follow up on reported errors and alarms.
- Responsible for providing after-hours on call support for production emergencies and escalating issues.
- Assist in deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting core business applications including application servers and associated hardware or endpoints, and databases.
- Assist in analysis of systems for finding root cause of issues as well as analyzing existing and new use case configurations
- Proactively seeks systems improvements by performing regular performance monitoring and capacity analysis.
- Responsible for creating and updating systems documentation in the team Knowledge Base.
- Responsible to Document all issues and resolution steps using the help desk ticketing system.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
- Assisting work with outside vendors and other business unit as needed.
- Responsible to participate in project activities such as software rollouts, systems upgrades and hardware replacement.
- Responsible for application troubleshooting / escalated desktop support responsibilities where applicable
- Responsible for printer & output device service & support.
- Deliver business value using creative and effective approaches.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited four-year college or university Req
- 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. /or Required
- 1-3 years experience working in Windows and/or Linux server environments with extensive knowledge of systems and application server maintenance Required
- 1-3 years experience in administering and managing an enterprise level application/s. Required
- 1-3 years of directly supporting IT systems in a production manufacturing facility or a distribution center. * Required
- Experience writing and executing SQL statements against database preferred to perform application analysis, maintenance or generate reports. Required
- Some experience working in a structured, process-driven environment utilizing an ITSM ticket tool Required
- Prefer some UNIX experience with the ability to manage and troubleshoot Solaris and Linux environments Preferred
- Programming experience Preferred
- knowledge of systems and application server maintenance. *
- Familiarity with networking and location technologies including LAN, WLAN, RFID. *
- Good customer service skills *
