JOB SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Director of Education and Project Management and is actively engaged in JHCH projects of major capital investment and/or strategic importance. The Project Manager works cooperatively with leadership and multidisciplinary teams, supervisors, administrators and personnel throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine, as well as outside stakeholders, institutions, and vendors. This position will be responsible for the entire project management lifecycle including: evaluation, operational planning and financial assessments, development and implementation, communication and providing staff support to achieve organizational initiatives. Facilitates information exchange between Johns Hopkins senior management and departments, Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) entities, vendors/consultants, legal and outside agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's Degree or higher is preferred; PMP Certification preferred.



Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:



  • Associate degree or a professional certification(s) in Adult Learning or Healthcare Equivalent certification, along with related experience is preferred.
  • Valid State Driver's License required
  • Proof of Automotive Insurance required



Work Experience:



  • Three years of experience in business, program development and/or project development/management is required
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Knowledge of project management, information technology, financial analysis, and business/strategic planning methodologies is required.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement Processes (Ex. Lean Six Sigma), Regulatory, Risk Management, Change Management and Customer Service concepts are preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare systems and implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience in facilities-based projects to augment collaboration with facilities project managers preferred. (Ex. architectural designs).
  • High level of interpersonal and oral communication skills necessary to interface with various levels of management, senior management and board of trustees throughout JHM.
  • High level of proficiency utilizing project tools and resources including: Project Charters, PLRA, Project Plans, SBARs, RACIs, Microsoft Projects/SmartSheets.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical skills to engage legal and appropriate stakeholders for contract negotiations, statements of work, NDAs, RFPs, RFIs, etc.
  • High level of time management skills and ability to work independently to meet scheduled time frames; manage multiple projects simultaneously; and prepare oral and/or written.
  • Ability to produce and present high quality reports, proposals and written work. Must have high level of spreadsheet, database, presentation, project scheduling and word processing software skills. (Ex. Microsoft Office and Vizio).
  • Ability to quickly and proficiently acclimate to new business processes and related applications to meet targeted project objectives. (Ex. EPIC, SAP and other clinical or financial workflow systems).
  • High level of meeting facilitation and resource management capabilities.
  • High level of analytical ability necessary to perform financial and data analysis, identify and illustrate relationships among activities, recommend courses of action based on making choices among alternative and design recommended.
  • Ability to support leaders in decision making processes through accurate summarization of detailed information.

Salary Range: Minimum 29.35/hour - Maximum 53.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
