Job Summary The Procurement and Pricing Analyst is responsible for establishing and executing disciplined procurement practices and pricing support in alignment with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contracting standards. This role serves as the central point of integration between logistics, business development, and program management by ensuring all purchasing actions are compliant, cost-effective, and audit-ready, while also supporting proposal pricing and cost development. This position enables Mission Logistics to transition from decentralized purchasing to a structured, scalable procurement capability that supports operational execution, regulatory compliance, and competitive positioning in government contracting. The Procurement and Pricing Analyst will work closely with the Mission Logistics Manager, Program Management Director, and the Growth/Proposal team to ensure seamless integration of procurement, supply chain, and pricing functions across the organization. Role and Responsibilities Procurement Management:
  • Execute procurement actions in accordance with FAR/DFARS principles, ensuring purchases are allowable, allocable, and reasonable
  • Develop and manage vendor sourcing strategies, including identification, vetting, and onboarding of suppliers
  • Obtain, evaluate, and document competitive quotes to support price reasonableness determinations
  • Generate and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain procurement documentation to support audit readiness and contract compliance
Pricing and Proposal Support:
  • Support proposal development by building cost estimates, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and pricing models for logistics-related efforts
  • Coordinate with logistics, program managers, and operations teams to validate requirements and cost drivers
  • Maintain historical pricing data and procurement records to inform future proposals
  • Assist in developing cost narratives and supporting documentation for government submissions
Vendor and Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors supporting logistics, medical supply, fleet, and training operations
  • Monitor vendor performance, pricing trends, and delivery timelines
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies across supply chains
Integration with Logistics Operations:
  • Coordinate closely with the Operations and Logistics Support Specialist to align procurement timelines with operational requirements, training events, and equipment readiness
  • Support the Medical Logistics Support Specialist with compliant sourcing and purchasing of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring regulatory considerations are met
  • Provide procurement visibility to the Mission Logistics Manager to support forecasting, inventory planning, and resource allocation
  • Assist with the coordination the logistics of supply chains, including transportation, distribution, and delivery of equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Compliance and Process Development:
  • Develop and implement procurement SOPs aligned with FAR, internal controls, and best practices
  • Ensure procurement processes support FFL/FEL, DEA, and FDA-related compliance requirements where applicable
  • Assist in establishing internal controls for purchasing authority, approvals, and documentation
Data and Reporting:
  • Track procurement metrics including cost savings, vendor performance, procurement cycle times, and pricing trends
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership on procurement activities and cost drivers
  • Support financial reconciliation efforts with accounting and contracts functions

Required Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, pricing, or supply chain management in a government contracting environment
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS cost principles and procurement requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost estimation and pricing support
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (cost modeling, analysis) and standard business systems
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting government proposal pricing (IDIQ, task orders, or similar)
  • Familiarity with UNANET and A2B Systems
  • Familiarity with medical supply procurement and/or regulated supply chains
  • Experience with audit readiness, purchasing systems, or DCMA-compliant environments
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or DAWIA (preferred but not required)
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • Must be a United States citizen Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
  • Be able to travel approximately 20% of the time to support several customer locations in the continental US, and possibly abroad.
