Summary of the Job:

The Intern role is accountable to develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO business practices and operations through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.

About This Role:

Responsibilities

  • Participate in corporate internship program activities such as educational workshops, social events, and community outreach.

Duties may include

  • Attend and participate in required internship educational sessions to develop and enhance core skills, industry knowledge, and key system and process understanding (as available)
  • Participate and/or lead the completion of assigned short-term projects, as requested by manager
  • Work with manager to develop, implement and complete a development plan, intended to identify educational opportunities in the organization aligned with interests

Partnership Marketing Lifecycle Strategy-Specific Duties may Include

Cardholder Retention Program Development - est. 75%

  • Research and evaluate Customer Care capabilities to support cardholder retention efforts when customers call to close their credit card accounts
  • Collaborate with Account Executives (AEs) and Strategy team to identify retention opportunities across partnership portfolios
  • Analyze portfolio-specific needs and recommend tailored retention strategies for each partnership program
  • Support the development and documentation of retention program framework, including processes, talking points, and success metrics
  • Assist in building business case presentations for proposed retention initiatives
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with Lifecycle, Strategy, and Customer Care teams

Strategic Analysis and Program Support - est. 25%

  • Conduct competitive research on industry best practices for credit card retention programs
  • Assist with data analysis to identify key drivers of cardholder attrition
  • Support creation of program documentation, process flows, and implementation roadmaps
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by the Lifecycle team

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Program Requirements

  • Must be a current university student or recent graduate with pursuing a degree in Business and/or Marketing.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Possess leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
