ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative assistance regarding EHS teams, including filing and tracking documents, preparing reports, and maintaining databases.
- Communicating with internal and external teams to gather information and updates.
- Responsible for all state and federal reporting requirements
- Supporting the maintenance of EHS regulatory information management systems.
- Scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in inspections, assessments, and surveys to identify potential hazards.
- Assist in investigating accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents, completing necessary reports.
- Maintain EHS records and files, including safety reports, permits, and audits.
- Collect and analyze data related to EHS performance metrics.
- Assist with developing and delivering EHS training programs.
- Assist in overseeing all environmental health and safety programs of the facility.
- Data entry and interpretations of various KPIs and processes of the facility.
- Regular attendance required. Mandatory overtime may be required in special circumstances.
- Adhere to company safety requirements.
- Assumes all other duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of an associate's degree in life science, safety, environmental or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Good analytical problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize to meet established timelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Frequently exposed to loud noises, odors, fumes, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work alternate shifts and days of the week including weekends as needed by the business.
- Ability to travel occasionally by air or car to attend business meetings and conduct audits.
