The Coit Center for Longevity and Neurotherapeutics at The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology seeks a Research Data Support Specialist I for Dr. Bernardo Lemos' lab. The Lemos lab focuses on epigenetics, biological age clocks, and biomarker development and analyses in the context of aging, neurodegeneration, and cancer and Alzheimer's disease research. The candidate will assist a team of researchers by providing data analysis assistance and technical support. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Assist the lab team with compiling data for analysis, including RNAseq, RRBS and/or WGBS, DNA methylation, and short read sequencing data, following established protocols and under supervisor direction.
- Perform routine review of omic data entries and flag discrepancies in DNA methylation records to the research team for resolution.
- Maintain research database for team to easily access data needed for research.
- Prepare figures and tables and maintain data accurately.
- Assist senior researchers with genomic data analysis tasks by performing assigned steps under direct guidance and instruction.
- Compile and provide data and standard reports to researchers to support the planning and design of research projects.
- Compile and summarize research results using established formats and deliver findings to the research team for review and interpretation.
- Prepare and provide progress reports to researchers in the lab.
- Assist with routine laboratory management and maintaining lab equipment.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
