Job Summary

The Class B Driver is responsible for operating an automatic box truck to deliver metal repair parts within designated routes, typically within a two-hour radius. This role involves primarily driving responsibilities, with some warehouse support, including loading and unloading materials. The position requires strong attention to detail, a customer-focused approach, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B box truck to deliver materials safely and on schedule
• Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring proper handling and secure transport
• Verify delivery documentation, obtain customer signatures, and ensure accuracy of all delivery records
• Communicate with supervisors regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle concerns
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards
• Pick up customer returns and verify materials against documentation
• Maintain and return all delivery paperwork accurately and completely
• Assist with warehouse operations, including staging, loading, and inventory handling
• Provide professional and friendly customer service during all interactions
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Support additional operational tasks and work overtime as required

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating Class B vehicles and holding a CDL
• Valid state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate required
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications
• Ability to lift, load, and unload materials as needed
• Ability to work both driving (approximately 90%) and warehouse duties (approximately 10%)

Work Experience

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience required
• Previous delivery and warehouse experience preferred
