Job Summary:
Join a dedicated team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's newest student support hub. As a Program Coordinator in the First-Generation and Limited-Income Services office, you will utilize your expertise to develop and implement programs that enhance the learning experience, sense of belonging, and overall success of first-generation and low-income (FGLI) students. You will lead the design, coordination, and delivery of initiatives aimed at building campuswide capacity to support FGLI Badgers. This role demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment for students, colleagues, and campus partners. Key Job Responsibilities:
Student Affairs, Student Success and Belonging, First-Generation and Limited-Income Services First-Generation and Limited-Income (FGLI) Services is a central hub for connection, support, and success for students who are the first in their families to attend college or come from limited-income backgrounds. The office provides a welcoming space where students can build community, explore campus opportunities, and access resources designed specifically for first-generation and limited-income Badgers. In addition, FGLI Services offers training and professional development across campus to equip faculty, staff, and student workers with the knowledge and skills needed to better support FGLI students. Through programs, events, and collaborative initiatives, the unit fosters belonging and empowers both current and future first-generation and limited-income students to succeed academically, personally, and professionally. FGLI Services is part of Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, led by the vice chancellor for student affairs. Our staff is dedicated to serving students and to helping them succeed in and out of the classroom in areas including health and well-being, student success and belonging, leadership and engagement, and student advocacy. Compensation:The expected minimum starting salary for this position is $50,000.00 annually. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, competitively priced health/dental/vision/life insurance, tax-advantaged savings accounts, and participation in the nationally recognized Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) pension fund.
