The I&R and OR FTE split will be the FTE split currently held by the successful candidate. Application Window Open date: March 30, 2026 Next review date: Monday, Apr 20, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Apr 20, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The holder of the Howard Ferris Endowed Chair in Ecology and Management of Plant and Soil Nematodes (Ferris Chair) will be a tenured faculty member at Associate or Full rank in the Department of Entomology and Nematology. * Provide innovation and leadership in research in the area of Ecology and Management of Plant and Soil Nematodes. * Engage in outreach activities specific to the designated intent by the donor including lectures, conferences, student research. * Perform service to the appointee's home department and the broader community as expected for faculty at the same academic rank. * Enhance the academic and intellectual life of the campus as a whole. The Chair holder will submit an annual report on the use of the Fund including expenditures of the endowment income to the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences each academic year.
