Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee - Department of Energy

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Compensation: $31.89 - $31.89 per hour

Tessera is seeking an experienced and organized Supply Technician/Stores Lead with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for coordinating work for Stores personnel.

  • Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of assigned employees.

  • Prepare, inspect, package, and issue materials/parts/supplies required to fill job orders both manually and in the current supply software program.

  • Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas manually, using a handcart or forklift.

  • Assist with inventory and accountability for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

  • Conduct as directed, semi- and annual inventories of all equipment, tools, and parts.

  • Promptly report any loss, damage, or theft of property.

  • Monitor schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine the type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.

  • Examine the material delivered to verify it is the type specified and to identify any non-conforming parts per IAW DOE procedures.

  • Prepare reports as needed to effectively manage property.

  • Maintain professionalism both in appearance and in demeanor.

  • Assign, coordinate, track, and manage assigned employee work assignments.

  • Responsible for providing employee instruction, on-the-job training, and coaching as needed.

  • Assist the Manager with monitoring employee performance to ensure efficient use of time and performance of work tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of warehousing/supply experience preferred.

  • Must obtain and maintain an "L" level security clearance with the Department of Energy.

  • Must be able to collect and organize information, identify sources of potential problems and provide recommended courses of action to correct the problem.

  • Must possess a good working knowledge of the governing supply regulations, supply-related automated information systems, programs, policies, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
