The Director, Promotional Review & Content Platforms will drive innovation and evolution through some of the most critical processes of the organization. They will oversee the content review process, lead the content delivery team and ensure accurate and efficient implementation of our content platforms including AI tools. This individual will be responsible for creating a 'One Way for GSK' atmosphere by developing solutions that are fit for purpose across the Enterprise by supporting the goal of getting content out to market better and faster.

This individual will be responsible for interacting with and influencing the following teams: Digital, Data and Tech (DD&T), Promotional Content Governance Board (PCGB), Commercial, Promotional Review Teams (PRT), Regulatory Advertising & Promotion Policy (RAPP), Finance, and Content Studio. Additionally, consistent interaction with Sr. Director, Marketing Operations and Platforms and the VP, US Commercial Strategy, Insights, Transformation and Operations (SITO) will be expected to inform us about business updates and opportunities.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that align with GSK's strategic content objectives

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation and data collection to model development, validation, and deployment

  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of solutions by implementing best practices in development and deployment while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines in the development and deployment of AI solutions, i.e., GSK AI Council and GSK Tech Smart Controls process requirements

  • Simplify the complex. Communicate and present concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner to deliver change management across the enterprise

  • Develop and manage an annual budget, including SOWs, POs, and cross charges and approve invoices. Work closely with finance partner for annual phasing of cross charges

  • Lead the Content Delivery team to ensure timelines are met and content is delivered as expected by Commercial

  • Navigate multiple projects and responsibilities daily with a particular skill in remaining both agile and focused

  • Foster a collaborative environment with a goal of getting content out to market better and faster while following content and promotional policies and procedures accordingly

Lead a diverse, multi-functional team by executing the following responsibilities:

  • Set clear direction for your direct reports aligned with Ahead Together goals

  • Reprioritize work, as needed. Enable others to do their job well by communicating information and making decisions in a clear, timely manner

  • Develop key performance metrics for direct reports to ensure they are consistent with the overall plans for the function and that these metrics promote cohesive and integrated planning with the department / across U.S. Commercial holistically

  • Achieve results with and through others

  • Establishes and maintains effective communication within the team, across Business Units and U.S. Commercial

  • Provide direct reports with appropriate coaching, mentoring and development

  • Demonstrate effective working relationships both within and outside of the team. Actively lead across the matrix through partnership and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree

  • 5+ years' experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry

  • People Leadership experience

  • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

  • Understanding of the Promotional Review Process in the US

  • Experience working in or partnering with Operations, Content Systems (particularly Veeva), and Content Delivery

  • Experience with problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically

  • Experience in communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years successfully leading the selection, development and embedment of AI tools in a large organization

  • Brand Marketing experience

  • Exquisite change management skills

  • Thrives in a fast paced, continuously moving environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through times of ambiguity

  • Ability to make decisions without all the information at hand
