Power Plant Operations & Preventative Maintenance - Offutt AFB, NE Summary: This part time/on call position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance and perform start-ups on Generator equipment (Diesel engines). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Repairs, inspects, and performs scheduled Preventative Maintenance on generator equipment (per manufacturer's specifications) Perform start-ups on generator equipment. Process required paperwork in a timely manner. Provide in-depth troubleshooting as needed. Proficiency in the handling power tools and test equipment. A complete and in-depth understanding of generator systems, diesel engines and maintenance problems encountered in power generating systems. Flexible scheduling to include occasional overtime and weekend work for emergencies. Qualifications: Practical experience in installation, repair, and servicing of generators in a private, commercial, or military environment. Valid driver's license Experience with 1 - 3 meg diesel powered generators Ability to work independently and recommend solutions to problems.
