Description

Your Role:

This position will collaborate with key stakeholders cross-functionally to develop financial strategies and drive analytics enabling business decisions. This role will drive the long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the core businesses they support and provide detailed monthly reports and analysis directly to the Executive Team.

The position is also responsible for delivering important insights to senior finance leaders and executive management which requires strong influence and leadership skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Partnership & Process Improvement



  • Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, translating financial data into business insights.
  • Support revenue growth initiatives and cost optimization efforts.
  • Drive accountability for financial performance within departments.


Financial Planning & Analysis



  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for assigned business units.
  • Provide variance analysis, trend insights, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.


Accounting & Controlling



  • Ensure accurate month-end close processes and compliance with accounting policies (US GAAP/IFRS as applicable).
  • Oversee accruals, revenue recognition, reserves, and other key accounting estimates.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and support audit activities.
  • Understand business drivers and recommend measures to further improve results.
  • Oversight of Entity's monthly financial results, including preparation, review, approval and reporting of all SAP transactions.
  • Work with external auditors providing requests reports and analysis.


Reporting & Communication



  • Prepare executive-level presentations and financial summaries.
  • Deliver clear and concise financial reporting to senior management.
  • Communicate financial risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Leadership & Process Improvement.
  • Mentor and support junior finance team members.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve systems, reporting, and financial processes.
  • Support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.


Requirements:



  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; At least 8 years' experience in a senior level Accounting / Finance based role.
  • Domestic Travel Requirements - up to 10%, International Travel Requirements - up to 10%


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:



  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or similar roles, with a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and management reporting.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization with exposure to global operations and currencies.
  • Deep background in financial and general business analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and collaborating across functions.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/US GAAP, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous roles.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of SAP or similar software.
  • Prior experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or heavy regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively across various departments.
  • Adaptability. Problem solver and critical thinker with innovative mindset/drive.

The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $119,973-141,085/year - Gaithersburg, MD; $113,974-$134,031/year - Auburn, CA, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
