POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality standards and customer requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections, identifying defects, and driving compliance with established quality systems and procedures.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Conduct inspections of production processes, including assemblies and sub-assemblies, to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications using appropriate measuring and testing equipment.
  • Document and report defects, non-conformances, and inspection results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify adherence to customer requirements, internal standards, and ISO 9001 quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and provide guidance on specifications and requirements.
  • Interface professionally with customer inspection representatives during audits and product evaluations.
  • Perform final product inspections and ensure completion of all required inspection documentation.
  • Execute product release processes, including approval for shipment or sale.
  • Monitor and follow up on non-conformance issues, including vendor-related concerns and first article inspections.
  • Track quality issues from identification through corrective action and follow-up verification.
  • Conduct receiving inspections and warehouse audits to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards.
  • Support Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) activities, including audits, corrective actions, and product reviews.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of product (coach) systems and functionality to support effective inspection.
  • Manage rejection processes and ensure proper documentation and disposition of non-conforming materials.
  • Complete assigned work cell tasks and containment actions promptly.
  • Train and mentor other QA technicians on processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with 5S workplace organization standards.
  • Complete special projects and assignments as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Working knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality systems preferred
  • Ability to obtain CDL licensure as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and operational goal
