Manufacturing Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

4.1 Basic Function: 4.1.1 Responsible for researching, developing, designing and implementing manufacturing equipment and systems. This position has the authority to perform the basic functions and responsibilities described and supported by the facility's organizational chart. 4.2 Specific Duties: 4.2.1 Maintains updated Operator Description Sheets at all stations on the manufacturing floor. 4.2.2 Creates Production Setup Procedures at all applicable equipment on the manufacturing floor.

4.2.3 Determines preventative maintenance standards on new equipment.

4.2.4 Conducts time studies to establish performance standards and line balancing requirements.

4.2.5 Assists in managing all assembly processes relating to the manufacturing procedures.

4.2.6 Plans, directs, and records periodic preventative maintenance and analysis of all equipment.

4.2.7 Maintains updated drawings and specifications on all equipment.

4.2.8 Researches and implements cost effective upgrades to the equipment and facilities.

4.2.9 Keeps abreast with the latest in control technology and safe work practices.

4.2.10 Responsible for ensuring that all assembly processes comply with JCI ergonomic standards.

4.2.11 Recommends and initiates modifications of replacement of equipment that fail to meet Operating Standards.

4.2.12 Engages in safe practices as well as follows safety rules and job rotations.

4.2.13 Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergonomic committees, participating in safety Kaizen events, participating in blue sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback events.

4.2.14 Assist the plant in achieving safety goals while achieving and maintaining Safe Workplace and Environmental and Sustainability objectives.

4.2.15 Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

4.2.16 Reviews and understands the Customer Specific Requirements
