Principal Advisory Services
What you will be doing: ThePrincipal, Advisory Servicesis a senior consulting leader responsible for delivering exceptional client outcomes through the leadership of complex healthcare transformation engagements. This role prioritizesdelivery excellence, operational execution, and measurable client impact. The Principal serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives while leading large consulting engagements that drive meaningful organizational improvement. Success in this role is defined first by theability to deliver transformative results for clients, build lasting executive relationships through delivery excellence, and expand consulting engagements through demonstrated value. While the Principal contributes to business development and market growth, revenue generation is expected to occurprimarily through expansion of existing client engagements and trusted advisory relationships developed through exceptional delivery. The role carries an annual revenue target of approximately$1.5M-$3M, primarily driven by client expansion, strategic advisory relationships, and follow-on transformation initiatives, as well as providing subject matter expertise for business development activities across the practice. Key Responsibilities Engagement Leadership & Delivery Excellence Lead complex consulting engagements that deliver measurable operational and financial improvements for healthcare organizations.
Serve as theexecutive engagement leaderfor large transformation initiatives within health systems and healthcare organizations Ensure engagements deliversustainable operational improvements and measurable client value Oversee multidisciplinary consulting teams responsible for strategy, operations, workforce transformation, and performance improvement Drive rigorous project governance, execution discipline, and accountability for results Maintain senior-level client engagement throughout the lifecycle of consulting engagements
The Principal is ultimately accountable for ensuringexceptional delivery quality, client satisfaction, and sustained organizational impact. Strategic Advisory & Subject Matter Expertise Serve as a senior advisor to healthcare executives navigating complex operational and organizational challenges.
Provide strategic guidance to health system leadership on enterprise transformation initiatives Advise clients on issues such as:
workforce strategy and labor optimization corporate services transformation administrative operating models shared services development enterprise performance improvement clinical transformation physician enterprise services
Translate healthcare industry trends into actionable solutions for client organizations Support clients through major organizational change and transformation efforts
Expansion of Client Engagements Through Delivery Excellence Grow client relationships through trusted advisory and successful delivery.
Identify opportunities to expand client engagements based on demonstrated results and emerging organizational needs Partner with consulting leadership and business development teams to shape follow-on engagements Contribute to pursuit strategy and proposal development for strategic client opportunities Generate approximately$1.5M-$3M in annual consulting revenue, primarily throughclient expansion and strategic advisory relationships, as well as providing subject matter expertise for business development activities across the practice Responsible for maintaining approximately 70% utilization, balancing client delivery with business development, internal initiatives, and team leadership
Thought Leadership & Market Influence Strengthen the organization's reputation as a leader in healthcare transformation.
Contribute to the development of consulting frameworks, methodologies, and intellectual property Share insights through industry presentations, publications, and executive forums Represent the firm in discussions with healthcare executives and industry leaders
Talent Development & Internal Leadership Support the growth of consulting talent and organizational capabilities.
Mentor Senior Directors, Directors, and consulting staff Support development of consulting methodologies and service offerings Promote a culture ofdelivery excellence, collaboration, and client impact

Required Qualifications Work Experience: Years of Applicable Experience - 12 or more years
Education: Bachelors (Required)
Preferred Qualifications Skills:
Strong understanding of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, value-based care, and healthcare policy. Expertise in operations improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Proficiency in project management, risk mitigation, and quality control. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences. Proven client management skills with the ability to build long-term relationships. Financial acumen in managing project budgets and forecasts.
Experience:
15+ years of experience in healthcare consulting or healthcare operations leadership Demonstrated success leading complex transformation initiatives within health systems Proven ability to advise senior healthcare executives on operational and strategic issues Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams and complex engagements

Premier's compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier's internal salary range for this role is $205,000 - $380,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
