Job Description:

Perkins Coie LLP, a leading international law firm, is seeking a midlevel real estate associate to join our Real Estate & Land Use practice group at a pivotal moment within the firm. As an Am Law 50 firm handling sophisticated matters at the local, national, and increasingly global level, this is an exciting opportunity to join a practice and the firm at the leading edge of the market. This position is open to the Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and Bellevue offices.

Our Real Estate & Land Use practice focuses on acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, construction and development, financing, and real estate investment across a wide variety of property types and industry sectors - including an active and growing data center practice encompassing colocation transactions, hyperscaler leasing, and powered land acquisitions and dispositions serving hyperscalers, institutional capital, and infrastructure developers.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant transactional real estate experience is required. Candidates with familiarity with AI tools - including large language models, document automation, and workflow orchestration - will be strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to draft, manage, and negotiate complex transaction documents and interface directly with clients and counterparties. They will bring strong business judgment and the ability to think beyond the transaction - anticipating issues, structuring solutions, and delivering work product that reflects genuine care and precision. We are looking for someone who is client-obsessed, responsive, entrepreneurial, and ambitious; someone who thinks in terms of client outcomes, not just tasks. The ability to build relationships - with clients, colleagues, and counterparties - and a commitment to in-office collaboration are essential to success in this role.

Our team (and the broader firm) is growing, high-performing, and deeply embedded in the markets we serve. For the right candidate, this is a platform to develop and be a part of a nationally recognized practice in one of the most dynamic sectors in commercial real estate.

Perkins Coie has been listed on Fortune's Best Places to Work for 24 consecutive years. We are regularly recognized for creating a workplace culture where all employees have the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential. Follow our LinkedIn page, review recent firm news, and visit the Firm Overview on our website to learn more about where we've been, what we've been building, and where we are headed.

To be considered, please submit your cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a brief writing sample. Principals only.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid Holidays, and family care benefits. More information regarding benefits and programs may be found here.

Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.

Compensation range: $365,000 to $420,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
