What to Expect We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing for interconnect commodities, including wiring harnesses,high speed dataconnectors, and related electromechanical components in a fast-paced manufacturing and technology environment. The ideal candidate will excel at collaborating with engineering teams to understand technical requirements, building strong supplier relationships, performing detailed cost modeling, and negotiating favorable purchase agreements that deliver value and mitigate risk. What You'll Do Lead strategic sourcing initiatives forelectronicsand electromechanical components Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to deeply understand technical requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategies Develop andmaintainstrong supplier relationships, including performance management and continuous improvement programs Conduct detailed cost modeling and analysis toidentifysavings opportunities and support fact-based negotiations Negotiate and manage purchase agreements, supply contracts, and long-term pricing arrangements Identifyand qualify new suppliers whilemaintaininga robust and resilient supply base Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives across assigned commodity categories What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, specifically with electronics and electromechanical components in a manufacturing ortechnologyenvironment Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand technical requirements andestablisheffective sourcing strategies Strong experience managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance Solid background in cost modeling and financial analysis Excellent negotiation skills witha track recordof successfully negotiating purchase agreements and contracts Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with manufacturing methods used to scale electromechanical components Background in mechanical engineering or supply chain Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $84,000 - $324,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
