As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Security Architect - Senior. Project Summary

AIS is supporting federal customer with a program focused on architecture and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for new cloud architecture design, development and integration of newarchitectural features into existing cloud infrastructures while maintaining the integrity andsecurity of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.

  • Lead multi-disciplined teams in thedesign and implementation of the cybersecurity system architecture.

  • Able to apply cybersecurity standards, directives, guidance and policies to a cloud architectural framework.

  • Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designsfor the cloud hosting environment.

  • Provide broad based experience in the systemsengineering lifecycle and specific cyber security initiatives relating to cloud architecturaldesign and development.

  • Resolve cloud architecture implementation issues during
    integration and test.

  • Interface with internal and external entities for various solution relatedactivities.

  • Ability to develop and deliver end--to-end ,complex, enterprise level solutions that meet current and future capability requirements.

Required For This Opportunity
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience designing, securing, and leading cloud security architectures in complex, regulated environments.

  • Deep expertise architecting secure AWScentric (and/or multicloud) solutions, including IAM, network security, data protection, logging, monitoring, and incident response.

  • Advanced knowledge of federal and DoD security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, RMF, FedRAMP), with experience leading ATO efforts and risk decisions.

  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership, define security standards, and guide engineering teams on secure cloud design and implementation.

  • Active Secret clearance or higher, with ability to support federal and missioncritical customers.

  • IAT Level III certification (DoD 8570/8140 compliant) and one or more cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP securityfocused credentials).

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.

At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $159,000-$240,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location. We value transparency in our hiring process and are happy to discuss how your unique qualifications align with our compensation structure during the interview process.
