Description

Alliance Technical Group is hiring a Lab Analyst to join our growing Seattle environmental laboratory team. We're seeking a bench chemistry professional that will be responsible for performing routine analyses in an environmental laboratory. Tasks include logging samples, preparing samples, conducting analyses, and reporting results. The analyst ensures adherence to documented procedures, maintains laboratory notes, and escalates technical issues to the laboratory manager.


Essential Functions


  • Log, label, and acknowledge samples according to procedures.

  • Ensure instrumentation is operational; troubleshoot and coordinate repairs as needed.

  • Perform analyses within required turnaround times.

  • Clean and maintain equipment and glassware.

  • Maintain inventory of standards and supplies; order replacements as necessary.

  • Follow SOP specifications for all analyses and provide updates as needed.

  • Report non-conformances to the QAM and Laboratory Manager.

  • Use LIMS functions, including generating work lists and managing project status.

  • Perform additional job-related duties and projects as assigned.


Pay Range

$25.96 - 32.21/ hour


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of general chemistry lab experience or 1 year in a specialized lab.

  • Familiarity with various sample methods.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with laboratory safety; prior lab experience preferred.

  • Professional demeanor and appearance.


Physical Demands


  • Extended periods of sitting; repetitive motions and use of hands.

  • Occasional walking, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), climbing, and kneeling.

  • Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.
