This role is responsible for identifying, facilitating and driving the execution of finance process improvement initiatives across Accounting, Shared Services, FP&A, Treasury and Tax by assessing current-state processes, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring changes are implemented effectively consistently and without disrupting close, controls or reporting quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess current-state finance processes and performance to identify efficiency, quality and control improvement opportunities, including automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Partner with finance leadership to evaluate improvement opportunities and shape recommended process and system changes.
  • Leads and administratively manages finance process and system initiative, translating approved priorities into executable plans, including piloting and scaling automation or AI-enabled enhancements.
  • Coordinates stakeholders and working teams, ensuring clarity of roles, decisions, and deliverables
  • Monitors progress and outcomes of finance process improvements, validating that changes deliver intended benefits (e.g., efficiency gains, error reduction, improved insights) and escalating risks as needed.
  • Assess impacts of process and system changes on close, controls, reporting, and roles, and ensure changes are controls-aware.
  • Support system implementations and enhancements from a process enablement and adoption perspective.
  • Monitor adoption, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and drive ongoing optimization.
  • Ensure process documentation and procedures remain current and audit ready, including documentation of automated and AI-supported processes.
  • Coordinate training, communication, and knowledge transfer to support consistent execution across finance.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems or related field.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in finance process improvement, accounting, systems enablement or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, financial close, and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, implementing and sustaining financial process improvements (not just coordinating initiatives).
  • Hands-on experience applying continuous improvement practices within finance and accounting environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP or finance system implementations preferred (JDE preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive improvement in a cross-functional environment.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong understanding of finance process design and continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into practical, executable process solutions.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills across finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills without direct authority.
  • Systems-oriented mindset with ability to partner effectively with IT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Ability to balance improvement initiatives with operational stability and control requirements.
  • Curiosity and comfort exploring emerging technologies, including AI, to enhance finance processes and decision-making.

This role will not have supervisory responsibilities.
