Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

Your main responsibilities

Schindler Elevator Corporation is currently seeking an Engineering Intern for 2026!


The Summer Engineering Intern will support corporate projects within the Supply Chain Engineering team, located in Hanover, PA. This role is designed for a student currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program and offers hands-on experience in supply chain industrialization, supplier development, and project coordination.


Typical responsibilities for this intern will include:



  • Participate in the concept development, definition, documentation, and implementation of supply chain processes.
  • Support the validation and roll-out of new tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze supply chain and engineering data to support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal project reviews and management updates.
  • Support communication and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Support the validation and roll-out of new tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Creation of Standard Work Instructions.

What you bring

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Sophomore/Junior Status (Preferred but not required) - Good academic standing.
  • Ability for a high degree of interaction with the Engineering teams and with manufacturing shop floor processes and employees.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of administrative, technical, and manufacturing assignments.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all contacts.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. High level of self-motivation and personal accountability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office for analyzing data and presenting projects.
