Proactive: Accounting Supervisor

Main Duties / Responsibilities: Seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead a small team within a 20-person accounting organization. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and mentor team members while driving process improvements.

• Supervise and mentor a team of Staff and Senior Accountants
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and financial schedules
• Oversee subledger to general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper variance explanations
• Manage accounting processes related to:

• Fixed assets
• Capital projects
• AR billing

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close activities
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and improve workflows
• Drive process improvements and enforce best practices in data accuracy and reporting

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of accounting experience
• Prior lead or supervisory experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Strong experience with:




• Balance sheet reconciliations
• GL and subledger analysis
• Fixed assets and capital accounting




• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP
