Vice President of Marketing
East Windsor, NJ (Hybrid)

Our client, a fast-growing consumer brand, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead and scale their marketing function. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader coming from a big box retail environment who has successfully built and executed high-impact marketing strategies across multiple channels.

About the Role

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for driving brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue through a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. This individual will play a key role in shaping the brand's voice, optimizing performance marketing efforts, and leading creative direction across all channels-while also building and developing a high-performing marketing team from the ground up or through periods of growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive brand awareness and revenue growth
  • Lead performance marketing initiatives across paid media channels, ensuring strong ROI and scalability
  • Leverage social media, PR, and influencer marketing to expand reach and engagement
  • Oversee creative strategy and execution, ensuring high-quality, high-performing content
  • Evaluate and optimize agency partnerships and external vendors
  • Analyze campaign performance and marketing data to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and leadership teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives
  • Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing marketing team
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 8-15+ years of progressive marketing experience, with a balance of strategy and hands-on execution
  • Required: Experience within a big box retail environment
  • Proven success scaling a consumer brand across DTC, Amazon, and/or retail channels
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing marketing teams, including hiring, structuring, and mentoring talent
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing and paid media
  • Strong understanding of content strategy and creative development, with the ability to guide and improve output
  • Experience managing and optimizing agencies and external partners
  • Highly analytical, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, "builder" environment
  • Experience working with channel or distributor-driven B2B models is a plus
