Job Description:

Crowe is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Senior Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced D365 Finance professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality ERP solutions.

As part of Crowe's growing international ERP implementation practice, you will work directly with manufacturing clients to modernize back office operations, improve visibility and efficiency, and strengthen month-end close, credit and collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes through Microsoft Dynamics 365. Your Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will demonstrate deep functional and technical expertise in D365 Finance and lead the implementation of core and advanced Finance modules. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Solution Design

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in the D365 ERP platform and its Finance capabilities.
  • Configure D365 ERP core Finance modules, including:
    • General ledger
    • Accounts payable
    • Accounts receivable
    • Credit and collections
    • Cash and bank management
    • Fixed assets
    • Cost management and Cost accounting
  • Conduct detailed requirements analysis and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop functional design documents for customizations and system enhancements.
  • Define business scenarios and functional specifications to support solution delivery.
  • Assist with business process redesign and optimization initiatives, including month-end close optimization, cash application improvements, and automating back-office functions

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct system integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate that configured solutions meet business requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to test customizations, data conversions, and integrations.

Documentation & Deliverables

  • Produce comprehensive functional documentation, including:
  • Business process documentation
  • Functional design documents
  • Output/report specifications
  • Test plans and scripts
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Engage with clients to understand finance business processes and strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for functional and technical Finance matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide post-go-live functional support and guidance.
  • Assist clients in driving successful user adoption.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Develop training materials and conduct client training sessions.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with team members.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of the ERP practice.

Collaboration & Project Delivery

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with project leadership to align on timelines, scope, and objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage and complete assigned project tasks and deliverables.

Practice Growth & Business Development

  • Identify and communicate new business opportunities related to D365 ERP Finance implementations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive growth and revenue.
  • Support practice development initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
  • Strong expertise in D365 Finance core modules (General ledger, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Credit and collections).
  • Experience with advanced Finance modules such as Fixed assets, Cost management, Cost accounting
  • Proven experience gathering requirements and developing functional design documentation.
  • Experience supporting data conversions, integrations, and system customizations.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes including month-end close, cash application, credit management, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience leading client workshops and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a consulting environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other asset-driven industries.
  • Microsoft Certification:
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Management Functional Consultant Associate
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Experience with system integrations, positive pay, and advanced bank reconciliations

Travel

  • Travel varies by project phase and can be up to 80%, depending on client needs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $79,100.00 - $156,600.00 per year.
