Job Summary At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Planning Supervisor based in our yogurt manufacturing plant in West Jordan, Utah! The Planning Supervisor owns the finished goods schedule and replenishment plan. This role also oversees packaging and ingredient receipts to purchase orders and tracks packaging and ingredient costs to help maintain the target level of working capital. - While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and may be exposed to loud noises in the plant. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock and vibration
Engagement in our Integrated Work Systems Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement. About You
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we're looking for, including both required and preferred criteria: Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Bachelor's degree preferred (supply chain or business degree)
- 3+ years of supply chain experience in customer service, distribution, or inventory/production planning required
- 5+ years' food industry experience preferred
- 3+ years' experience with ERP systems preferred
- Bulk Ordering/Balancing for daily production required
- Strong Excel experience required
- Purchasing, scheduling and inventory management experience required
- Managing product life cycle experience required
- SAP experience required
- Root cause analysis experience preferred
- APICS CPIM certified preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and understanding of material flow related to production requirements planning
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Knowledge of production scheduling, materials scheduling management, inventory and finished goods management
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent multi-tasking, organization, and time-management skills
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Sound business acumen with corresponding analytical and judgment skills
- The ability to create pivot tables, use v-lookup, conduct data analysis of large sets of data using Excel
- Strong customer focus with ability to foster effective cross-functional partnerships
- The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- The ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate. Work schedules could include days, nights or weekend work schedules as needed.
