Department 10461 CNPA-Chevy ChasePay Range $150,000.00 - $450,000.00 The Pediatrician is responsible for: the comprehensive care of patients in the Children's Pediatrician & Associates practices including; appropriate documentation and reporting where required and needed; supervision of assigned clinical and non-clinical staff; and participation in assigned administrative & quality improvement activities and regularly scheduled provider meetings. Minimum EducationMedical Doctor (M.D.) (Required) Or Medical Doctor (M.D.) Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in the area of expertise. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. Ability to function independently in evaluating patient problems and developing a plan for patient care. Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and discuss these with the patient, family, and other members of the health care team. Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. Ability to maintain quality, safety , and/or infection control standards. Demonstration of a personal commitment to Continuing Professional Development and ability to remain current on the developments and progress in primary care pediatrics. Knowledge of and compliance with legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. Required Licenses and Certifications Fully licensed and credentialed attending staff category physician on the medical staff of Children's National Medical Center. . Completion of residency in pediatrics. Board eligible or board certification in general pediatrics by American Board of Pediatrics/ or American Osteopathic Association. . The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
