Security Guard - Armed School Resource Officer

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Watch in Boynton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will support students, staff, and visitors with customer-focused assistance while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, disturbances, and/or critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; assess situations and request additional resources when needed.
• Monitor and document security-related activity using reports, logs, and/or electronic systems; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Support campus events and peak traffic periods with presence, screening as assigned, and/or directing vehicle and pedestrian flow in accordance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and unarmed guard card.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
