About the Role:

PitchBook is seeking a Senior Data Operations Associate - Integrations to join our Data Operations team. This role will focus on executing and scaling high-impact third-party data integrations that power critical internal initiatives and product experiences.

As a senior associate, you will own the operational lifecycle of new data vendor integrations - from due diligence and schema alignment to integration health monitoring and ongoing quality management. You will serve as the primary point of contact for select vendors, partner closely with Product and Engineering stakeholders, and build reporting and monitoring frameworks that ensure integrations meet performance and quality expectations.

Team Overview:

The Data Operations team is responsible for the core of what we do as a company: delivering high quality data on the private markets to thousands of discerning customers. This is done through our various data collection processes consisting of web-based data scraping, entering of data from publicly available documents, web researching of hard-to-find information, and direct communication with executives, investors and advisors involved in transactions and fundraising.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead due diligence process for new third-party data vendors, including data assessments, API testing, coverage analysis, and quality evaluation
  • Partner with legal, procurement and leadership to support vendor contracting and onboarding
  • Serve as primary post-contract point of contact for assigned vendors
  • Manage vendor performance through structured reporting, communication, and issue resolution workflows
  • Support sourcing, outreach and evaluation of new vendor opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Data Operations stakeholders to align on schema expectations, ingestion methods, scope, and success criteria
  • Own data mapping and scope alignment for new vendor integrations
  • Partner with engineering teams to support ingestion, transformation, and validation process
  • Act as subject matter expert on assigned integrations and vendor datasets
  • Own the identification of data gaps and assess current-state coverage
  • Implement and maintain reporting on integration-level performance metrics such as yield, coverage, completeness, and timeliness
  • Analyze integration outputs to identify performance or methodology gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Investigate data quality or performance issues and partner with Engineering to drive root cause analysis and remediation
  • Drive iterative improvements to integrations based on reporting insights
  • Establish recurring data quality monitoring processes for integrated datasets
  • Design and implement human-in-the-loop quality checks where appropriate
  • Develop scalable workflows that surface data quality issues early and enable rapid remediation
  • Maintain documentation of integration processes, mappings, and quality frameworks


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in data operations, data integration, analytics, or vendor management
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and data pipelines
  • Proficiency in SQL and comfort working with large datasets
  • Proficiency in Python working with APIs and structured data formats
  • Experience building/analyzing performance or quality reporting (Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining high execution quality

Compensation



  • This position is non-exempt and paid a salary of $72,000-$72,000
  • Target annual bonus percentage: 7.5%

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
