Avantara Watertown is currently seeking a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) that will be responsible for closely supporting the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department. The ADON will work closely with the dynamic and highly qualified Director of Nursing, Unit Managers, and Administrator to drive the overall success of the facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) State of South Dakota license to practice.

• Nursing experience; preferable in the long-term care setting.

• Leadership competencies including developed interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to inspire and operate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you are the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Watertown by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting, and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.
