The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. A full-time academic Interventional Radiology faculty position is available in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence in our students, faculty, and staff in all our activities. Academic, leadership, and research opportunities exist and are encouraged for candidates with interest in these areas. This position will be assigned clinical duties at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH) and other UC Health facilities and Interventional Radiology (IR) service lines. Hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art IR suites and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. UCMC is a Level 1 Trauma center with an active organ transplant program. UC Radiology offers two ACGME-accredited IR Independent Residency, 1 position of IR Integrated Residency, in addition to rotating diagnostic radiology residents and the ESIR pathway. This position is 100% IR as part of our busy and thriving clinical practice performing a wide range of procedures including interventional oncology, prostate artery embolization, cholangioscopy, uterine artery embolization, GI/GU intervention, TIPS, venous access, CT/US guided biopsy, and ablations. There is a dedicated IR Clinic with nursing support. The practice has a robust, formal inpatient consultation service. The IR Section has 9 faculty members and 7 advanced practice providers. Our IR Section has extensive expertise performing nearly 10,000 procedures annually. The IR faculty is collaborative with wide ranging areas of clinical focus and research. The IR physicians have excellent collaborative relationships with referring services, and they staff several multidisciplinary conferences per week. Essential Functions Oversee and teach UCMC interventional radiology residents, interventional radiology fellows, and UC College of Medicine medical students in the performance of imaging examinations and interventional radiologic procedures. Additional teaching responsibilities include bi-monthly formal and informal didactic lectures, interventional radiology case conferences, and curriculum development and evaluation. Patient care responsibilities include the interventional radiology imaging procedures including advanced MR and CT techniques with services provided at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC) and other UC Health facilities. Attend and actively participate in Departmental service meetings and conferences. Minimum Requirements Medical degree (MD/DO) or foreign equivalent Ohio medical license Completion of four-year post-graduate radiology training Completion of two-year Interventional Radiology fellowship.
