As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Port Arthur, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials and badges, and support visitor and vehicle check-in while maintaining clear logs and communications. You will remain visible, conduct routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, backed by a team that values integrity, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical manufacturing location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing arrivals to required check-in steps per site rules.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, including deliveries and service providers, and report irregular activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing timely notifications and accurate written reports in line with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, observe for security-related concerns, and document findings per site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
