Job Description




As a Security Officer - Part-Time Marina Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a higher-education location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls with calm, clear communication. You will assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and service-focused support while documenting observations and escalating concerns as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing required documentation, and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues for follow-up.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity for policy compliance, assisting with directions, escorts, and de-escalation when needed.
  • Support campus operations by coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders during alarms, medical situations, or other urgent events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
