Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Nights in Chillicothe, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, documenting unusual activity and potential policy violations that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and conduct access control activities such as verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas according to site procedures.
  • Complete timely reports, log entries, and incident documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnover to support consistent security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
