Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex Armed Mobile Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, professional communication. This post requires a valid driver's license and an active armed guard card/license, with opportunities to support a team that acts with integrity, stays agile and reliable, and puts people first while delivering through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, yards, substations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and/or theft.
  • Monitor access control points and verify identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors; document entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, suspicious activity, and/or disturbances; request law enforcement and/or medical support when appropriate.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with compliance tasks such as badge accountability, key control, and/or equipment checks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
